Historically the “Root” is home to ranches and river lovers…

the love of cattle and fishermen/women, the Bitterroot Valley now boosts dozens of restaurants, from French to sushi and everything in between. Dozens of AirBnBs have also been created to accomodate the growing number of nature lovers.

All meals, continental breakfast, boxed lunches and catered dinners will be provided based on a questionnaire you will fill out once you register for the workshop. Dietary restrictions, within reason, will be accommodated.

The closest commercial airport is in Missoula. Most major airlines fly in, typically thru Salt Lake City, Seattle, Denver & Minneapolis.

Suggest you arrive by Sunday afternoon, worksHop starts at 8:00 am on Monday, July 12. If you need to acclimate to a higher altitude, please plan to arrive at least two days prior. We are at 4,500 feet.

Renting a car from the airport is suggested as Hamilton is remote - you will not need 4 wheel drive.

AirBnBs in Hamilton and surrounding towns have been perfect for previous guests and there are also a few motels in town. We will be glad to make suggestions but are not responsible for lodging accommodations.
